The French QuarterWhen most people think of New Orleans, they think of The French Quarter. The French Quarter is in actuality the original city of New Orleans founded by Bienville in 1718. This area is the liveliest most vibrant area of the city. Only seven blocks by eleven, in this section of New Orleans, one can see and find it all. World famous restaurants, high-end antique stores and five-star hotels nestle themselves among touristy souvenir shops, all night bar rooms and residences ranging from studio apartments to condominium complexes to large elaborate single family homes. Life in The French Quarter is 24/7. It is truly as area that never sleeps. At any time you can see residents or tourists roaming the streets.

At the heart of the French Quarter are some famous New Orleans historical landmarks such as the Cabildo, the Presbytere, St Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. Take a stroll around Jackson Square and you’ll find quaint boutiques, fortune tellers and street performers ready to entertain. You’ll most likely see mule-drawn carriages lined up along the river side of Jackson Square preparing to make their daily trek along the picturesque streets to the old French Market.

Complete with its own green space, Woldenberg Park is a fantastic place to stop and admire the Mighty Mississippi River and watch the paddle wheel steam boats glide by.
